What is thin section bearing

Thin Section Bearings are one kind of rolling bearings with limited width and thickness, also called thin wall bearings. This type beairngs are available in Metric and Inch size.

Metric thin section bearings are designated by ISO or equivalent standards. Such as 61805 61905 designation numbers in SKF system, 6805 6905 in NSK NTN designation numbers system. About the tolerances and clearances, metric thin section bearings follow the same standards with the other radial bearings.

Inch thin section bearings include two kinds in our catalog, one is XLS (XLJ) series, another is thin section bearing with cross section. About the cross section bearings, the cross section remains the same as the bore and outer diameter increases. Thin section bearings are made from 52100 chrome steel and 440C stainless steel.Some sizes can be capped with seals or shields.
